BRIEF SUMMARY

Students of Environmental Engineering Study Program will learns how to design and manage the waste treatment, drinking water supply infrastructures, air pollution control, including environmental policy and laws, environmental management system and its documentation, economic and safety aspects.

Study program emphasizes real problem solving in industry and community through lab-based learning process, problem/project-based learning process, internship program, field visit, research, and community empowerment to prepare students for fulfilling their career.

Environmental Engineering has two concentration/specialization, which are reliable to match the need of Environmental Engineers who have Managerial skills aside from the technical skills. The concentration are Industrial Waste Management and Environmental Management.

The curriculum of Environmental Engineering Study Program of President University is designed to prepare its graduates to work in a wide variety of industries, including chemical, pharmaceutical, water/wastewater treatment, mining, manufacturing, and environmental consulting.

The classes are designed to sharpen student’s problem-solving skills and display the relevance of engineering in industrial applications through laboratory works. The students will also be given opportunities to get hands-on experience within a wide range of world-class industrial facilities through apprenticeship / on-the-job training program. Environmental Engineering Study Program in President University have the MoU with PT Jababeka Infrastruktur (JI), so that the students will be able to do practical work, lab work, internship, and also researches by using the infrastructure facility owned by JI, such as Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP), Drinking Water Treatment Plant, Environmental Laboratory, Bottled Water Treatment Plant, Composting Unit, Hazardous Waste Management Unit, and so on. The facilities have been certified by integrated certification of QHSE (Quality, Health, safety, and Environment) ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004, OHSAS 18001:2007, and ISO 17025 from National Accreditation Committee.
